Mrs Wishy Washy

Last week our big book was called 'Mrs Wishy Washy's Tub by Joy Cowley
Room 10 really enjoyed this book.

We choose our own animal that went for a wash in Mrs Wishy Washy's Tub and wrote about it for story writing on Wednesday.
On Thursday we drew our animals and sponged them with paint.

On Friday Mrs Wishy Washy came to school. She put all the Room 10 animals in the tub and gave them a wash. It was lots of fun pretending to be the animals in the tub.
Then Mrs Washy had to go home as she had lots of animals waiting to be washed at home.
So Tommie decided to dress up as Mrs Wishy Washy and wash all the dirty clothes in Room 10.

Wishy washy, Wishy washy, Wishy washy.

Balloon Fun

Balloon Fun with Team 8 and 10!

Last week Mrs Grant and Mrs Newman blew up some balloons for us to have some fun with.
We practiced our catching and throwing with a partner.
They challenged us to hit them without our hands too!
It was great to work together to keep our balloons up with another person.

Here are the photos to show you our skills.

Tinker Time

So last week we enjoyed the circuit sets.
We had to create a complete circuit to make a fan, a light or a siren work.
We worked with a buddy. We all had a turn.
Some of the circuits are quite tricky to make but we persevered to make them work.

This week we had the Osbot.
He was very cool.
We had to write a programme to make him move by placing the chips into a path. Each chip determined whether he went straight, turned right, turned left or went backwards.
When we pushed the button Osbot moved around the map by following the directions we had given him.
He is very clever.
Next time we get him we would like to try and programme him to go to places on the space mat.

Rona and the Moon

This week we read the story 'Rona and the Moon' it was a free book given to us by Kellogg’s Books for Active Minds Programme. We really enjoyed the story and decided to draw our own version of 'Rona and the Moon'.
